EESA 2025 National Council Election

EESA is commencing its annual election cycle for positions on the National Council. Three positions are available:

Two members elected from the general membership

Participants in this category must meet the eligibility criteria and

  • complete the EESA nomination form (which needs to be signed by a financial member of EESA),
  • write a candidate statement (500 words maximum) that provides details of their history with EESA, list the reasons for nominating for the National Council position, and address any particular competencies or personal qualities that would contribute to the National Council. (The candidate statement will be subject to reformatting for distribution to members for voting purposes).
  • Provide a head and shoulders photograph of themselves.
  • Submit the nomination form, candidate statement, and headshot via email to plyons@eesa.org.au
  • All eligible candidates will be subject to electronic voting by all eligible EESA members.

Young Professional

Participants in this category must meet the eligibility criteria, and complete a nomination form and a candidate statement and submit this information to their chapter chair for endorsement and for recommendation to the incoming National Council (for determination of the successful candidate from the nominations received)

  • Nominations are called during the national election period.
  • Nominees must have at least two years’ experience on their local Chapter Committee and the support of their local Chapter Committee.
  • The incoming National Council will select the successful candidate from the nominations received.
  • This appointment is for a 1-year term.

The nomination process opens on 1st October and closes on 13th November 2024.
